CHRISTMAS CARDS Canon T3 12.2MP Digital SLR Camera with 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS II Lens - (Google Affiliate Ad)
So...I've been working on Christmas cards. Why do I always feel like I have to do these on my own and do them handmade? Oh my. I have spent hours today, just me and the Cricut and the paper cutter, and I'm not even a quarter of the way done. Regretting not going the Shutterfly route! Oh well...if you get a card from us, please appreciate it!! :)

DISNEY
A week from Monday, we head to Disney! So excited!! We are surprising the kids. I want to have a bunch of little "hints" wrapped up to give to them every hour or so ( a Mickey coloring book, a new Disney movie, a t-shirt, etc) but my husband just wants them to see the entrance when we drive in. What do you suggest??

I am seriously like a kid when it comes to Disney. I am sooo excited!!! This is where we are staying:
Can.Not.Wait!!! I have heard the animals will just walk up to our balcony. AHHH!!!!

If you have any tips or advice for me, please share!!

ELF ON THE SHELF

This morning, my daughter came running in to my room declaring she couldn't brush her teeth because Eff had her toothpaste!! Good try, sister!

And here's what ol' Eff is up to tonight:
Silly Elf!!

Hey Everybody....

This is the scene I walked out to the other day.
Don't judge me for the boots/sweatpants/polo shirt look Eli has going on.

The boys were telling Meri Hobbs and Eli they couldn't help. They were saying you had to be 5 or older to help.

This was not sitting well with Meri Hobbs. I could see her getting worked up. Since you never know what this girl is gonna say, I watched with interest.

She slams her fists down to her sides and screams at the top of her lungs......

"HEY, EVERYBODY.....THE BIBLE SAYS YOU HAVE TO BE KIND!!!"

You tell 'em, baby girl!

The Princess

Meri Hobbs, our 4 year old, is the only girl in the mix. She is adorable! If you aren't sure, just ask her!! When I look at some teenage girls and see how they dress/act to get attention, I worry about how we are molding our daughter's self-esteem. And then a conversation like this takes place:

(After dance class):
Me - "Who was the prettiest dancer there today?"
MH - "Me, Mama!"

So, I think we're good there!

She is a sweet, sensitive, happy, loving girly girl! She loves dolls and purses and dressing up and make up. Which is a whole new world for me because I am NOT a girly girl! She is also very perceptive. If she feels I am starting to get frustrated, out comes the, "I love you, Mama. I think you're beautiful, Mama!"

I fear she may have a touch of defiance in her, though....The other day, she and Eli were watching Diego and Diego said, "Stand up and clap with me!" Meri Hobbs' response? "You're not the boss of me, Diego!" HA! Seriously?!

She just started preK and is learning so much. I am loving watching her as she discovers new things. She is great at learning her Bible verses for AWANA and loves going! She loves reading and we read multiple books multiple times a day!

I love my baby girl and pray that as she grows she will have a soul with a craving for God and a heart that clings passionately to Him. (Psalm 63:8)
