I'm Kind of a Big Deal

I have been blogging for about 2 months now and my popularity has grown like wildfire. I kid.

Seriously, I am amazed that people want to read about my simple little life, but I'm so thankful they do. Blogging has been a fun release for me! As of now, I have 31 "followers", of which I personally know about 1/2.  So, it's cool to me that random people have somehow stumbled upon my little area of the internet and decided to stick around!

Anyway, Brittany has given me a Liebster Award (thank you!), which is an award for bloggers with 200 or less followers to encourage others to follow them. Liebster is the German word for "beloved" or "dearest" or in this case a "favorite"!

This was hard for me because a lot of the blogs I read have over 200 followers, and a lot of them seem to be more personal/family blogs, so I'm not sure they'd want me encouraging people to follow them. So here are my selections of the under-200 follower blogs that I don't think would mind me sharing their stuff with all 31 of my readers!! I know...the notoriety you are getting from me is underwhelming!! :)

1. Lindsay @ the allen's   Lindsay is a real-life friend and so creative! She makes the CUTEST cakes, sews, gets crafty, bakes, etc etc. Looking for some inspiration (or someone to make you feel bad for how UNcreative you are??)? Then, Lindsay's your girl!
2. Ellen @ In His Grip  Ellen is also a real-life friend. She is a fellow minister's wife, homeschools her two boys and is pregnant. Busy much?!
3.  Ali @ My Suitcase Full of Tricks   A hilarious look at life. Love reading this blog! It may or may not have a post about duct taping her child to a chair! :)
4. Ali @ Young and Restless Blog  A fun blog by a cute college girl. Oh, those were the days!!
5. The ladies at 16 Balls in the Air  2 moms of 4 boys each. What fun!!

We Interrupt Your Regularly Scheduled Program....

I am going to take a break from introducing you to the amazingly awesome fam to share with you my earth shattering realization that no blogger before me has ever realized before. Ever. 

So I have been a part of this blogging world for like, ohhh, 5 minutes and let me tell you I am hooked! I do enjoying sharing part of my life with you, but I LOVE reading other people's blogs. Which is weird. I don't know most of them. It is crazy. I read one blog, which links me to another cute blog, which links me to another one and another one and the next thing I know it's 1 a.m! Several times, I have literally had to cover my mouth to keep from busting out laughing and waking the whole house!

I think I have figured out why I love them so. I rarely get adult interaction. Now I'm not complaining (this time...many times I am, but not this one). Reading about other people's lives is where I get to "hear" about your day. And laugh at the things you're going through. And realize that I'm not the only one in the world wiping up apple juice and poop all day. It simulates my absent adult time. And makes me feel a little bit connected. AND I can do it when I have time to fit it in. Which is usually after bedtime. When the rest of the world is asleep so I can't hang out with someone or have real adult time. So I'll take the fake stuff.
